The AIQ assesses various categories such as:

Visual Spatial Processing: This factor affects a hitter´s presence and awareness in the batter´s box. It can impact his ability to read spin/trajectory, visualize his hitting zone, and maintain awareness of his body mechanics.

Reaction Time: Affects hitter´s ability to react to a wide-variety of pitches when at plate. It can also impact the ability to get good jumps when on base.

Decision Making: This Factor impacts a hitter`s ability to quickly and accurately scan a visual field for important details or make either -or- decisions bases on what he sees.

Learning Efficiency: Affects the ability to learn and remember information effectively. It can influence the number of reps he may need to learn plays, skills or scouting information as well as his ability to recall this information when needed.
